Meet Jerry Fowler

Jerry Fowler was born the oldest of four children and reared on a small farm in Indiana.  Jerry's parents were both from large families with there being 11 children in his father's family and 10 children in his mother's family.  Jerry's father served in World War II and was part of the D-Day landing in Normandy.  He served in the Motor Maintenance Corps approximately 5-8 miles behind the front lines repairing damaged jeeps, half-tracks, and tanks and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant in 1945.  Jerry has the utmost respect for those who have, or are serving in our armed services.

Shortly after graduating from high school, Jerry moved to Kansas City to attend a technical school to learn computer programming.

For the next 10 years, Jerry worked in the IT Departments of a petro-chemical engineering company (J. F. Pritchard & Co.) and a process manufacturing company (Cook Paint and Varnish).

In 1984, Jerry joined Cerner Corporation which had been founded 5 years earlier.  Cerner Corporation is now the leading U.S. supplier of (HCIT) health care information technology solutions.  Jerry is currently employed as a Senior Technology Architect at Cerner Corporation and will soon celebrate his 26th anniversary with the company.  As a Senior Technology Architect, Jerry is tasked with investigating and resolving complex technological issues with Cerner's application suppliers.

In the spring of 1986, while attending a local community college, Jerry met his wife of 23 years in the computer lab at the college.  After they were married, Jerry adopted her two daughters from a previous marriage, and Lord has since blessed them with an additional six sons and three daughters.  Their children have been home schooled for the last 18 years.  The oldest daughter married and now they have a granddaughter who recently celebrated her first birthday .

Jerry's interest in the government of our nation and the founding principles based upon the U.S.Constitution began two decades ago.  After becoming more actively involved over the years, in contacting and signing petitions to U.S. Representatives and Senators, he has experienced the frustration of seemingly having no voice or impact with members of Congress.  With the continuing encroachment of the Federal government on our liberties and after much soul-searching, Jerry decided to campaign for the U.S. House for Missouri's 5th District.

Jerry has worked and lived in or near the 5th District of Missouri for over 35 years and he is excited about serving the people of Missouri's 5th District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
